Graviera of Amfilochia Nakas is made from pasteurized sheep’s and goat’s milk and is distinguished for its intense aroma and rich, sweet-smelling flavor. Matures for at least 3 months.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT GRAVIERA

Graviera is a popular Greek yellow hard cheese. Its name derives from the word “Gruère” (Gruyere) which is a Swiss cheese from the town of Gruyere. This is not accidental as both of these cheeses have a similar ripening process, the taste and the texture is different, as the Graviera is made exclusively with sheep’s and goat’s milk, while Gruyere is prepared with cow’s milk.
