Anthotiros Nakas
Anthotiros is traditionally manufactured throughout Greece. It is a soft cheese which is made from the whey that is eliminated during the manufacture of hard cheeses.
A FEW WORDS ABOUT ANTHOTIROS
Anthotiros is a traditional Greek cheese, made with the addition of goat’s milk, or with cream of goat’s or sheep’s milk. It usually has a spherical conical shape and is available fresh. It has a similar manufacturing process with the Italian Ricotta cheese.
It is a creamy and soft cheese, which resembles the Mizithra cheese, but has a different flavour. It has a lot less fat than the usual yellow and white cheeses and can be consumed on table dishes or fresh, in salads, in food preparation and confectionery materials.
