Kefalograviera of Amfilochia Nakas is made from pasteurized sheep’s and goat’s milk (goat milk up to 10 percent ) and is characterized by its strong aroma and spicy, balanced milky and buttery flavor. Matures at least 3 months before becoming available on the market.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT Kefalograviera

Kefalograviera is a traditional Greek hard cheese made from sheep’s and goat’s milk, and has a protected designation of origin (PDO). It is a cheese similar to Kefalotyri which is often being replaced by kefalograviera. It has a salty taste and rich aroma. One of its frequent uses is when making saganaki ( Fried Cheese ), cutting it in triangular pieces, dipping it in seasoned flour and frying it lightly.
